Community Involvement: Through my involvement with faith based organizations I’ve served in soup kitchens, homeless shelters, orphanages and elder-care facilities. One of my most rewarding experiences was with New York inner-city youth in back breaking work to repurpose a crack house into a youth center. I’ve volunteered in literacy programs, animal rescue and rehab, community theater groups, and various artistic projects. For the past four years I’ve served on the board of the Tehama County Arts Council, and most recently was a part of a V-Day production of the Vagina Monologues to benefit Alternatives to Violence and women of the DRC.
Hobbies and Interests: I am interested in connecting with others and exchanging ideas on topics of spirituality, woman’s issues, art, and the global community. I enjoy arts and crafts, reading, movies, and collecting recipes.
Community Concerns: Beyond all the worthwhile programs already embraced by Tehama Together, I would like to explore the possibilities of art in public spaces and creating more community based artistic opportunities for all ages.
