Three Good Reasons to Donate to Tehama Together

Reason #1

Tehama Together has one purpose and one purpose only, and that is to serve the residents and communities in Tehama County

40% of Tehama County properties have been impacted by wildfires since 2014 and 99% of Tehama County properties are at risk of being impacted by wildfire over the next 30 years.
Tehama county has declared 21 disasters over the past 20 years, most of which are related to flood incidents. 32.6% of Tehama County properties are at risk of flooding over the next 30 years.
15.4% of Tehama County residents live below the poverty line, well above the California average of 12% and the national average of 12.4%
Tehama Together is dedicated to helping and supporting families in our community regardless of how or why their need arises. We can only do this through the generosity and support of those with more fortunate circumstances.

Reason #2.

Tehama Together works with a number of other nonprofits and organizations to meet the physical and social needs of Tehama County and our communities

Tehama Together began in 2009 as one man’s vision to bring United Way 211 services to Tehama County. This man, Orle Jackson, was only able to do this through his dedication and the financial support of the community.
No one person or group can meet the needs of all our neighbors. That is why Tehama Together hosts the Nonprofit Roundtable. It is by working together that we are made stronger. Together, we can overcome all adversities
Tehama Together knows that sometimes the biggest impact on lives come from the smallest of gestures. That is why Tehama Together assumes the financial support of the Sher Wintle Memorial Dog Park in Red Bluff
Identifying and resolving unmet needs lies at the very heart of what Tehama Together does and why it was started over fifteen years ago and is a tradition that it continues to serve today.

Reason #3

Tehama Together continues to identify unmet needs, starting new nonprofit organizations to meet those needs with many of those branching out on their own.

The Tehama County Veterans Collaborative was originally founded by Tehama Together by a group of veterans and non-veterans determined to ensure the needs of our veterans were fully served and instrumental in the establishment of the County’s Veterans’ Service Office.
The Upstate California Film Commission was the vision of one of our board members. Today this nonprofit is a regional film office representing Shasta, Tehama, Yuba and Sutter Counties.
Tehama Together has and continues to be fiscal the agent for a number of independent nonprofits such as Home Again K-9s, Fusion Youth Ministries, Red Bluff Dog Park and others.
Like parents having children, ideas become projects, that become programs and when they mature they are released into the world on their own to serve the communities for which they were born
